You are at the half way mark for exams!
Well done!

Monday is your Math Exam.
It goes until 11:30am.

You MUST bring with you:
  • pencil
  • eraser
  • ruler
  • calculator
  • proctractor
  • a book to read when you are finished
  • water bottle

REMINDER:

There is to be absolutely NO talking or passing of yearbooks or any other kind of material. This is considered cheating and you will receive a zero. This applies even when you are finished writing your own exam. You are in an examination room, and the rules apply from the time you walk in the door, until the time you leave the room.

  • reviewed our tests......pay attention to detail
  • reviewed for our exams

Today in MATH we:

  • reviewed!!!!
  • talked about algebra tiles
  • scientific notation
  • fractions
  • percents
  • short division/long division

Today in SCIENCE we:

  • got our field booklets back
  • talked about our concept lists for each of the 5 Units
  • textbooks are due on Wednesday - make sure your notes are complete!!
  • reviewed - round table alphabet

REMINDERS:

  • Exams start in 2 more sleeps
  • You must bring to your Humanities exam: Pencil, Eraser, waterbottle, book to read if you finish early
  • MATH & SCIENCE textbooks due WEDNESDAY

Today in HUMANITIES we:
  • talked about our multicultural pot luck!!
  • got back our research assignments
  • REVIEW on the weekend, exams are fast approaching!

Today in MATH we:

  • got review worksheets - there are 8 of them, make sure you have them all and put your NAME and DATE on them, you can staple them into a booklet if it helps
  • The best way to study for math is to do QUESTIONS and PROBLEMS.......what can you remember from September?
  • On Monday come with your questions!

Today in SCIENCE we:

  • didn't have much time for science today :(
  • got back our quizzes for Plants for food and fibre ---- REMEMBER TO READ THE QUESTIONS CAREFULLY!!

REMINDERS:

  • for your exams you will need: black or blue pens, HB pencils, a GOOD eraser, a protractor, a ruler and a calculator, please make sure you have them with you on exam day

Today in MATH we:

  • worked on graphing
  • 2 work sheets for Wednesday - read and do the problems on bar graphs/histograms, and pie charts
  • FINISH your mud pie assignment, don't forget to include your calculations on the back!!

Today in SCIENCE we:

  • worked on our mud pie charts
  • you will hand in your field study boolets on FRIDAY, make sure they are as complete as they can be
  • FOR HOMEWORK: Check & Reflect pages 155 #1-4, 159 #1-5, 162 #1-4, 166 1-4, Assess your learning page 167 #1-8

REMINDERS:

  • Exams are coming!!! Make sure you are properly prepared!!
  • You are responsible for your textbooks, you should have handed in your HUMANITIES textbook today.
  • Look closely at your interim report, what can you do better for next year? What would you keep the same?

  • worked on naming, measuring, & figuring out what type of angle we were looking at....is it acute angle?

Today in SCIENCE we:

  • looked at our lima beans and made two more obesrvations......stuff is happening!
  • reviewed seed plants
  • QUIZ tomorrow!!! Sections 1 and 2!!

REMINDERS:

Come to class prepared, if you have to go to your locker for anything, you will owe us some time after school....nobody wants that....BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR LEARNING!!!
